Lloyd Kempf receives new Senior Games honor
Lloyd Kempf of Woonsocket received the “Above and Beyond” award at the 2021 South Dakota Senior Games banquet in Watertown. Kempf was recognized for his first place time of 9.12 seconds in the 50 meter dash at the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM. His winning time ranked first in the U.S. and the World in the 85-89 age division in 2019. This new award was established by the South Dakota Senior Games Board of Directors to recognize extraordinary performances by the South Dakota Senior Games athletes.
